It has long been known that exercise is good for one’s physical health, and its influence on promoting sound mental health is now also recognised.  Physical activity can be great for relieving the symptoms of anxiety and depression; improving general mood; and boosting confidence and self-esteem.  Taking part in a sporting activity can also be a good way to make new friends and broaden social networks.

Here at The Corner House we are able to offer a variety of sporting activities to suit most needs.  We have our own full size table tennis table. Activities such as badminton, swimming, and fitness/gym training are also enjoyed at the local leisure centre. During the warmer months we like to make use of the outdoor environment, with activities such as football being held in the local park.
